Job Description

WE ARE HIRING FOR ONE OF OUR CLIENTS WHICH IS AN ESTEEMED ORGANIZATION IN THE SPECIALTY CHEMICALS SECTOR. THEY ARE A MANUFACTURER AND SUPPLIER OF INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS SUCH AS LUBRICANTS, PAINTS, INKS, COATINGS, POLYMERS, PIGMENTS, AGROCHEMICALS, ETC.

Designation: Industrial Relations (IR) Manager
Location: Mahad, Maharashtra
Experience: 12 - 15 years of work experience in managing factory in IR role preferably in a unionized environment, Factory, and contract labor & administration
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in labor relations, business management or human resources is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly responsible for creating a labor relations strategy and implementing the same.
• Managing and ensuring smooth employee relations & industrial relations without impact to operations.
• Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for the workforce.
• Ensure positive IR climate in factory.
• Ensure timely fulfilment of all Factory related statutory requirements.
• Ensure no deviation in Legal compliance and in case of any deviation coordinate with respective stakeholders and provide corrective action.
• Liaison with Local / Govt Authorities for getting Approvals, Clearances, NOCs as required.
• Work on the strategies to overcome manpower fluctuations.
• Ensure plant operation in a 100% complied environment from the Factory Act & Labor law perspective.
• Looking after the entire IR activities. Liaison with various Govt. organization and Regulatory Bodies, Local administration, Office of the Inspector of Factories, Labor Commissioner , Police officials , Judicial officials, Port officials, Legal Metrology & others for obtaining necessary sanctions / approvals and ensuring smooth working condition in the Plant premises.
• IR activities - develop & Implement Strategy to deal with Union. Should have fair, firm & factual relationship with Union leaders and to handle Labor Relation Technology wrt. Collective Bargaining & long-term wage Settlement process.
• Responsible for Employee Relation by managing its relationship with employees and Trade unions and to keep up Industrial disciplines.
• Effectively handling BL&LRO for the land related matter like acquiring of land, Mutation of Lease Land, Vested Land, Lease Deed, Conversion of Land, Land Revenue etc.
• Negotiating & finalizing the Agreements with reliable & efficient contractors for execution of servicing works as per budgeted parameters and Cost control. Preparation of yearly budget related with IR & Administrative activities.
• MIS (IR) report weekly to the Management.
• Meeting all statutory, regulatory & admin at plant site. Ensure proper documentation & audit.
Oversee environmental health and safety. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
• Responsibility for coordinating and completing the requirement for compliance to all statutory government regulations.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in labor relations, business
management or human resources is required.
Knowledge of Labor laws, IR, ER, HRM.
• Good Communication Skills.
• 12-15 years of experience in IR, with a minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in handling union and settlements will be an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of employment legislation.
